Our client, a mid-size full-service Main Contractor in the North East, is seeking to appoint an Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor. With approachable and accessible leadership, a long track record of successfully executed projects, and a history of low staff turnover, this is a unique opportunity to join an outstanding team.

The Quantity Surveyor Role:

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the cost management of one or a multiple of housing schemes. Responsibilities include:

• Tendering & Procurement

• Cost Control

• Budgeting

• Contract Negotiation

• Subcontract Orders

• Valuations

• Cost Value Reconciliation

• Subcontracts Management

• Variation

• Final Accounts

• Benchmarking and analysis of build costs

• Cost Engineering

 

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• Education in Quantity Surveying or Construction related degree

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a commercial or residential projects with a contractor

• A demonstrated history of successfully delivering the cost management of commercial or residential projects as a Quantity Surveyor.
