Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities for each site. Manage costs, ensure targets are met, and including monthly updating of the estimated final costs. Responsible for managing sub-contractor procedures and processes, and materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all cost control procedures
  • Compile all reports as needed
  • Expert knowledge of latest regulations, codes of practise, and NHBC requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with architects, project managent teams, etc
  • Work with the business development team to tender proposals and win work
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the scope of projects by attending project meetings
  • Source tender prices from suppliers and contractors
  • Monitor and identify variations during construction
  • Ensure that good records are kept
  • Complete comprehensive take offs
  • Produce and price schedules of work

Requirements

  • Qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • 8 years’ experience in a similar role with like projects
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • Schedule deadline focused
  • Must hold a valid drivers license
